Hello ladies and gentlemen! I want to talk to you all this evening about fair treatment in regards to Companies. What I believe is reasonable and how they react. So here is my story before I go any further.:
I work for a very well-known company. I have a contract with that company. So I was working on site for a year-and-a-half then was removed from the site by the client which is thier legal right . However I do not work for the client. I work for a company and am subcontracted to that client. Therefore the company I work for is legally responsible to find me the same amount of hours and the same amount of pay. That is not only common practice within the industry but that is the law. So what has happened is that the company I work for put me on a site and gave me four days a week and not 5. Then reduce my pay going against the contract I have with said company. I went to the company I work for and I did advise them of this. The company I work for in all their wisdom decided to ignore me. Then I want to union representative and advised him of the same and which he did nothing. So I gave him more than enough time to fix the issue but again they did nothing. So I took a step further just recently and went to employment standards and filed a complaint well I look for new work.
So that is my story in regards to my current employer. So here's the thing I don't ask for much simply that I be treated fairly with decency and respect. I have done nothing but work hard for this company. And the level of treatment from them I receive is simply unacceptable. I have tried diplomacy I've tried doing the right way and resolve the issue but they don't want to listen. They do things like all 4 things that could have been handled over the phone. They document things that are completely unfounded. They breach my contract over and over again under the pretext of falsehoods and no real facts or investigation. House not just the company I work for but also many other companies like it. This is why it's always important to know your legal rights and to educate your employer's in a civil way without threatening or harsh language. Also have a message for HR departments . When hiring somebody and you have the resume and cover letter on file please don't ask for a paper copy when you have a copy on your computer it is very annoying and cost people money. And secondly don't call people to your office first things you can handle over the phone and use technology to your advantage there are so many other ways of solving problems then wasting your employees time and your time such as video conferencing and call conferencing. There is absolutely no reason to call somebody to your office unless you're going to fire somebody. If you want factual data you have the legal right by law to document things and if your intention is to get a clear idea of behavioral patterns when questioning that's when you have video conferencing.
All I can say regarding the company I currently work for is quite simply that I will make their lives very difficult if they treat me like shit and infringe on my legal rights. Do not think for a second that I will not go after you legally in the court system and have my rights enforced.
That's about it for me. I hope every enjoys reading good luck, good night, good evening good morning, Wherever You Are
